Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • Do you have a minimum spend? Why?
The short answer, yes. We have a minimum investment to book a simple setup or full service wedding with us. Since our availability is limited, we only take on simple setups and full service weddings/special events that meet our minimum so we can serve our clients the best way possible. We are a wedding and special event only studio florist not a traditional floral retail shop. This means we do not have a retail storefront to sell unused stems or products. All flowers and greens are ordered fresh and specifically for you and your wedding.

  • Do you have packages?
Yes, we offer two different elopement packages for couples who are eloping and don't meet our minimum spend for a full setup custom wedding. You can find those packages on our elopement page here.

  • Do you offer Al La Carte Flowers for couples who just need their bouquets and other flowers delivered?
Yes, of course we do! You can check out our Al La Carte option here! This is a great option for couples who are on a tighter budget or just need a few things. Our Al La Carte flowers are tailored to suit you and your spouse's with a variety of color palettes/styles and options for both standard flowers and lush upgraded florals.

  • How many weddings do you typically cater to per weekend?
Generally, we serve one to four weddings and/or special events per weekend. You do have the option to book us exclusively for your event weekend when you spend a minimum of $15,000. Booking us exclusively for that weekend means that we are by your side from Friday evening through Sunday at noon. Wedding couples who opt for this options typically include rehearsal dinner flowers, Sunday brunch flowers and a full cleanup Sunday morning.

  • Do you offer rental items?
Yes! We offer an array of table numbers, vases, urns, compotes, arbors, simple lighting and more. Interested in a rental but not sure we would be able to provide it? Ask away! You might be surprised. All of our rental costs include delivery to your venue. Typically our wedding couples drop the items back off to our studio the following day but we also offer a pick up option for your convenience.

  • Do you travel?
Yes! We love to travel! Fly us anywhere. Our favorite wedding venue to travel to is At Bear Tree in Pittsburg, NH but we're also very excited to head to Brookside Farm in New York in 2022!

  • I live out of town. How can we meet and do a consultation?
We have worked with a bunch of out of town couples before. We have the ability to do consultations over the phone, email, or Zoom.

  • How far in advance should I book my consultation?
We recommend booking early. Most couples meet with us 6-12 months out from their weddings. We can, of course, accommodate last-minute events but sometimes that can mean limited flower or color choice. We've booked weddings that were over 18 months out! Provided you have your date and venue locked in - there is no reason to wait.

  • How long will my consultation take? What should I bring to be prepared?
Consultations for simple and average events typically take between 30 mins to 1 hour. For larger, more intricate weddings, consultations can last up to 90 minutes. We recommend bringing any color swatches that you are hoping to match, inspiration photos of bouquets and arrangements you love, a rough idea of your budget, and an open mind. We hear statements from couples such as, "no, I refuse to have carnations." However, when they find out that most of their favorite arrangements have them tucked in they change their mind. We promise they don't make them like they used to!

  • Do you offer delivery, setup, and break down?
We do! Most often simple weddings are done as pick up or delivery only. For larger events, we do offer full setup and breakdowns.

  • Will you coordinate with my other vendors?
We love working with other vendors! We find that it makes everyone's job easier. The vendors we work the closest with are the venues, wedding planners/coordinators, and photographers. Still, haven't found an exceptional sweet treat/cake baker? Check out our favorite girls at Oh Sweet! In need of a photographer or make-up artist? We have a full list of vendors who we've personally worked with before and absolutely love!

  • The more greens in the design the cheaper, right?
This might be one of the biggest misconceptions we come across. While some of the more traditional greens are very affordable newer greens and more trendy greens such as agonis, italian ruscus and eucalyptus are just as expensive as some flowers. P.S. baby's breath is sometimes lumped into this category and while it is a very traditional filler, it's just as expensive as other ones.

Emily at Tipsy Tulip was amazing to work with! Our original wedding was cancelled due to COVID-19 so we planned a very small “backyard” ceremony instead. Emily was super flexible and worked with me in changing the plans, she did a no contact set up and delivery and she made my peony dreams come true!! She is so easy to work with, super responsive and does an amazing job! Hands down, the best quality and service around!
